ABOUT AMANDA
One day almost 20 years ago I packed my few possessions, threw in my job, changed my name, got in my car with my three dogs and left Sydney, and my life. Yep I just up and left. I didn't even tell anyone, one day I was there and the next gone !. I moved to a little quiet seaside town of Jervis Bay...Well it isn't so little anymore some rotten bastard went and told everyone. Still I love this place and moving here was the best thing I ever did I have never looked back. It also gave me the opportunity to rediscover my love of photography, which was my first career when I started selling camera's at the age of 15 then went on to develop and print film in mini-labs for Kodak, I left that industry when I was 21.. Passion never dies though and 23 years later I was given a digital camera and the rest is history as they say. I love what I do, hobby it may be but it is also recording history. Same places near my home during the different seasons, the changes in colour and coastline amaze me. I can't help but notice the slightest of change in my surroundings. I never tire of it I live in heaven from the coast to the highest mountain ranges along the coast. I just wish I was 30 years younger trying to go back and redo everything I did when I was younger when there was no computers and no digital photography is proving a challenge at the half century mark.. I hope you enjoy my albums ... this is my Australia.. what I live and breathe everyday even if I don't take a photo you will find me somewhere on a beach with no one else around me, walking my do and watching the dolphins and stingrays cruise along the beach... I hunt the solitude the vastness to myself in a growing town. It is only then do I feel connected to the earth, and I do my best work. I don't eat seafood, hate it actually weird seeing I live on the beach. I hate crowds and loud noises. My best friend is my dog he is a real show off and loves attention unlike his owner. This is just a small sample of my images. My complete Portfolio is at my flickr and is updated almost daily so check it out. And I hope you enjoy my little slice of what I call Paradise. My Home.
